the woman in the pictures above is my best friend, my wisest teacher, my mentor and soul sister. mom, thank you for teaching me how to set a proper table and all the rules of etiquette, how to make a house a home, and how to throw a fantastic party. thank you for showing me what selfless looks like, the importance of family, the value of sitting down for a meal together every night, and how to have a truly happy marriage. you’ve taught me how to be smart with my money, how to live healthfully, and how to love unconditionally and intentionally. you were the person who taught me how to cook when I was a little girl, the one who told me I could make a career out of my love of food and cheered me on as I did. you encouraged me to follow my dreams, and you’ve been a listening ear for me, every single day, as I’ve faced challenges and victories, or just needed someone to chat with. thank you for teaching me about life and love and for always being there for me, no matter what. christ’s light shines through you and demonstrates to me the value of living a godly life and the importance of having a strong faith, and i am so appreciative of your guidance and your example. happy mother’s day, mom. i love you to forever and back.
and to all the other wonderful women out there, including my dear grandmothers and aunts, we’re lucky to have you in this world and i wish you the happiest of mother’s days as well.
xoxo
