this post is going to be short and sweet, because i almost forgot about selfie sunday today, and just as i was drifting off to sleep, it hit me like a bag of bricks: i hadn’t posted yet today! i spent about 20 seconds contemplating whether it was important that i get it done today, then decided that selfie sunday just isn’t the same when it’s posted on monday [although i know i’m bound to completely forget about it at some point or be unable to post on sunday for whatever reason. but today was not going to be that day!!]. so i peeled off the covers [a bit resentfully] and grabbed my computer and turned off my sleep cycle app so that i could do this thang. now that’s what i call dedication.
so even though i *almost* forgot to write about it today, i actually completed last week’s challenge like a champ! i was pretty proud of myself – i went on four runs this week, and even did some extra stuff – pushups, crunches, curls, and squats. success! now i just need to continue that regimen every week. it definitely makes me feel much better about myself.
this week, i’m going to learn three useful french phrases that i didn’t already know, as well as three useful dutch phrases [i don’t know a lick of dutch so literally anything will be new to me]. i bought little portable phrase books for each language at half price books this weekend, so we’ll see how it goes! can’t believe that i leave in two days!!
{lucky for me, i had thought about selfie sunday earlier today and had already taken my selfie for the day, which means that i don’t have to try to snap a selfie now. i mean, i don’t totally love this one, as it’s all up-close and personal with my blemishes, freckles, etc., but trust me, if you compare it to what i look like right now – in bed, in a t-shirt, with no makeup, my face slathered with coconut oil, and my eyes half shut – i pretty much look like a beauty queen in this photo.} ;)
