i think people traditionally shy away from whites and creams in winter, but the truth is, they can look so very festive and winter wonderland-y when paired with fur. white fur, brown fur, black fur, or colored fur – it doesn’t matter. it gives them a sense of warmth that’s perfect for cooler weather. i love how this dolce cabo brown faux fur jacket looks with a cream shirt or dress. i got it years ago, i believe from nordstrom rack. it’s sooooo soft and cozy and has a light sheen to it.
i apologize for the overexposure and blur in some of these photos… taking self portraits sure is challenging without a camera remote, and even more difficult when you’re not a pro at your own camera! i’m learning… slowly but surely…
i took some photos without the jacket too, because in some climates [like mine], you might be able to wear a sleeveless dress like this monteau one from buffalo exchange during the holidays and be fine, but mostly because i just like showing off the back of the dress. :) the necklace is from charming charlie, the earrings are from nordstrom rack, and the rings and boots are the same ones from this post. i was wearing hose too… call me a grandma but i feel weird with bare legs in winter, even though sometimes it’s pretty warm here. why it doesn’t feel weird to have my arms bare but it does to have my legs bare, i don’t know. BUT my legs are generally on the pale side at this time of year, so maybe that’s why. hose are a fair girl’s best friend. i’m not ashamed!
happy mondayyyyyy. xo
