a few highlights of my weekend:
: : NOT being busy!
: : therefore being very productive.
: : dinner at dallas grilled cheese co. on friday with katlyn and alex [the via domitia is my favorite… just make sure that they put enough balsamic glaze on it!]
: : going to sleep super early on friday night!
: : waking up early saturday morning…
: : the weather the whole weekend, which was just beautiful.
: : a saturday morning run.
: : got a bunch of culinary school work done.
: : the fact that peppermint mocha creamer is out now and i had some on saturday… too soon?! i don’t normally drink sweetened coffee but i love love love peppermint, especially in coffee.
: : ran a bunch of errands on saturday in the early afternoon – got stuff for my halloween costume, went to the grocery store, etc.
: : re-tested/tweaked my roasted root vegetable salad recipe for culinary school.
: : watched the aggie game, although we didn’t get a win. it was actually a rough game to watch. but i watched it nonetheless!
: : FINALLY got to work on the blog!
: : watched across the universe, one of my favorite movies of all time.
: : late night phone dates on saturday evening with people i like. :)
: : lazy sunday morning.
: : went to anthropologie [always a good idea] and added three more beautiful plates [all on sale too!] to my mismatched plate collection. which i just love.
: : worked on the crafty part of my halloween costume, and guys, it’s coming together! i’m pretty pumped.
: : church with katlyn at 5.
: : re-tested my pork tenderloin with apples recipe for culinary school.
: : posted not once, but three times on the blog today!
: : spontaneously met up with my friend chris for a little starbucks study date tonight. he was studying anatomy, and i worked on culinary homework.
: : and still got to bed at a reasonable-ish hour!
and that was about it. low-key but pretty damn good. also, halloween is less than 2 weeks away! and last year, i posted a tutorial on a DIY morton salt girl costume, so any of you ladies who need a last-minute costume idea should check that out. it was pretty easy to throw together and people loved it! have a great week, friends. xo
