today is my brother mike’s 23rd birthday!  we spent the weekend at my parents’  house [priscilla came up from galveston too], sitting by the fire table, drinking great wine, and eating great food.

i love this brother of mine with all my heart.  he’s pretty much the coolest, smartest, sweetest, most fun person that i know, and i’m so happy that i get to be his sister.  i know i say it all the time, but i’m also thrilled that we live so close in dallas, and i’m aware that this may not always be the case, so i’m savoring every minute of it.  last night he came over and we had a couple beers together as a pre-celebration to his birthday [with shiner birthday beer, of course!]. :)  we were both in workout clothes and we just hung out, reminisced on our europe trip a little, and mostly just talked about movie lists on reddit.  i love that we can do this.
