today,

my life shifted from

pretty busy to really busy.

it also got a lot more awesome.

because on this very monday, i started culinary school at el centro.

i can hardly believe it’s true!  i never thought i’d be starting culinary school this soon after graduating, but here i am.  i couldn’t be happier.

i rode the DART downtown to my first class, basic food prep.  it will be a couple more weeks until we’re in the kitchen, but the class seems like it’s going to be so interesting.  my professor is hilarious and very bright, and the people in my class seem friendly too.

and last night i tried on my new uniform.

i love it.

is that silly?

i just feel so official.

and this isn’t even the whole outfit!  just wait ’til i put on the neckerchief. ;)

tomorrow, i have a sanitation and safety course starting at 4pm, and then basic food prep is at 7, same time as today. i only have class on mondays and tuesdays, but between that and working full-time, i’ll probably be pretty exhausted.  finding the time to blog, sleep, and work out may be a challenge, but at least i know that eating shouldn’t be an issue!  it will be a great lesson in time management…and weight management.  haha.  but seriously.

so here’s to lots of eating, drinking, and learning, 3 of my most favorite things to do!  cheers.
