hello again, and welcome to week 1 of sunday goodness, a new series that i’m starting! to learn a little more about it, check out this post. i think it’s going to a lot of fun. this week has been a challenging one, but thankfully, this weekend has been pretty great considering the circumstances.
i stayed in on friday night – i needed some time to myself after the draining week, so i ran my little heart out first and then cooked and worked on my culinary school stuff and went through pictures of my little lucky dog. and yesterday i spent the afternoon at an aggie crawfish boil with katlyn, which was so fun – i ran into so many people that i knew and enjoyed catching up with katlyn too. and my friend thomas was in town so i met up with him and his friends last night and we had a grand time as usual.
and today i took it pretty easy… slept in, laid out, ran some errands and did a little fun shopping too, worked on some school stuff, cooked a very unhealthy but very tasty meal [a breakfast sandwich THE BEST breakfast sandwich for dinner], listened to a sermon on getting through hard times which was a litttttttttle bit relevant even though i’m truly doing fine. [i normally go to church on sunday nights, but i didn’t today.] took a walk, went through more pictures, contemplated the meaning of life, andddddd… well, that was my weekend in a nutshell.
and here are a few things today that were quite wonderful:
{i really love this view. it’s peaceful to me and embodies my version of a lazy weekend morning.}
{at times, there’s something strangely wonderful about laying out by the pool by myself, with messy hair and no makeup and plastic sunglasses and my oldest swimsuit. it’s not glamorous, but it sometimes feels great not to care.}
{as i like to say, buffalo exchange leads to trader joe’s leads to steel city pops. today i had an avocado pop! it was yum. also, i love this weather.}
and that was my goodness of the day! it was short and sweet, but it’s getting pretty late and bed is calling… i hope you guys end up enjoying the series and always feel free to comment with your own sunday goodness! have a great week.
