ahh, so many new things in my life and lots to talk about! and lots of posts waiting to happen. i actually planned on posting something today that i’ve had typed up for a few days, just an update on life, some fun things going on and some current challenges.
but. then today at lunch, i went to run a quick errand near my house, and it was an absolutely gorgeous day here [75 degrees!], so i parked half a mile away from my destination so i could walk and enjoy the sunshine and get a true daytime pedestrian view of my neighborhood. and there was a crystal-clear view of the snowcapped mountains in the background, and my neighborhood is full of so many gems, a bunch of which i’ve been to before but didn’t realize that they were all so close to each other and so close to where i live, and so many more places that i want to explore. the neighborhood itself is called rino, which actually stands for river north, and its full name is river north art district. as you walk down the streets, there’s the coolest street art – art in unexpected places, interesting murals, and just a whole lot of creativity everywhere you look. i’ve been in the area more at night than in the day, and i’m usually heading to one specific place and not just ambling around as a pedestrian, so i had never noticed just how much art there actually is. and i got my cup of coffee from the denver central market and a little mini strawberry champagne cupcake from yours truly and there, basking in the sunshine and strolling down larimer on my lunch break with my coffee and my cupcake and and all the amazing restaurants and breweries and art all around me, i could have cried tears of happiness. this new life is so fun and this day was the best. ever. i’m just in love with my neighborhood. and i was happy as a little clam! it was wonderful. and that’s all that i really want to say today. xoxo
