…here are all my iphone pics which, believe it or not, i’ve never posted on here. [it’s about time, right? only a year and a few months late…………] now, i’m not saying that you’ll never see another seattle picture show up here and there because you know i’m not one to cut off the photostream of any trip ever, but after today, consider the seattle trip posts officially finished. it was a good run. :) i love the way these photos from my phone kinda sum up the whole trip. they are just wonderful in their way.
{first things first… tell me that this isn’t the cutest thing you’ve ever seen in your life!}
{stocking up on some fuel at whole foods before our hike to lake serene}
{the hike}
{that time when a gigantic tree trunk came tumbling down the mountain towards mom and mike and i stopped it.} :)
{it was hours of this and it was glorious.}
{hiking up in the clouds}
{that view}
{lake serene was incredible.}
{in awe}
{we ate on lunch rock over the lake}
{bridal veil falls}
{breakfast at the hotel… you can never go wrong with hot tea, fresh fruit, and pastries!}
{on the left: that tall building is where christian grey from 50 shades of grey lived in the book, and on the right: this is what kindergarten looks like in a big city.}
{up in the space needle}
{for father’s day, mike and i gave dad a red wine flight + chocolate pairing at chocolate box!}
{taking a mirror selfie in my ridiculous [fake] glasses as a wannabe pacific northwesterner. and ombre beers!}
{i love my family.}
{at cutters crabouse. i can’t think of anything better than fresh crab, tomato, basil, and pasta. dessert was a chocolate soufflé + chocolate gelato.}
{“let your hook be always cast. in the pool where you least expect it, will be fish.” and a scene from our harbor cruise.}
{again, playing the wannabe pacific northwesterner…}
{from that night in which we sat in front of a fireplace on the terrace at mike’s apartment complex and sipped wine.}
{breakfast at lola, one of the many tom douglas restaurants we ate at. this one was DIVINE.}
{wine tasting at chateau ste. michelle}
{the vineyards}
{more wineries}
{at wasabi bistro… miso soup with clams and mushrooms. and R.I.P. little flower ring that i loved so very much.}
{in sushi paradise… and then we had green tea tiramisu and mochi ice cream for dessert.}
{the view from our hotel room of the space needle, by day and by night}
{an amazing quiche drenched in pesto for lunch, and a cloudy day on the water}
{seattle, you have the best snacks. pastries, strawberries, a nectarine, dark chocolate salted caramels, and a bottle of vino.}
{at the coterie room: pan seared trout with almond pistou, fregola, & spinach. dessert was chocolate pudding cake with bananas, salted caramel, & hazelnuts AND rhubarb upside down cake with pink peppercorn, light rum, and vanilla. OMG.}
{dusk in seattle… this was the most beautiful night by the water.}
{a night walk in the city}
{walking downtown}
{tacoma}
{from our balcony over snoqualmie falls}
{snoqualmie falls, you are gorgeous. and so was our hotel, the regal salish lodge on the edge of the waterfall.}
{our last night in seattle consisted of a cozy evening of wood-fired pizza + dessert at the hotel}
{silly mike and his fancy luggage for our night at snoqualmie falls. yep, that’s a target bag. and i had thai tea [for the first time, in fact] on this trip! mike introduced me, just before we parted ways – he went back home, and mom and i went to the airport.}
{until next time, seattle.}
{yeah, i’d say dad bought a few bottles of wine on our trip…!} :)
and that’s the end of our seattle adventure. i hope you enjoyed the journey!
