this is my last sunday goodness catch-up post and then i’m on track again! so i’m not usually one to discuss my dating life on the blog, besides maaaaaaaybe the occasional mention of someone in my everyday posts, never to be heard about again [and lord knows i’ve been through a fair share of men since i stared this blog almost four years ago], but i feel compelled this time to at least get you guys up to speed… because two months ago, i met a guy named ryan who you have probably seen by now if you follow me on FB or IG. and he’s completely wonderful and became a really big part of my life really fast.
to respect his privacy, i don’t want to share too much right now but i’ll tell you a few things:
: : his family is from amarillo, tx, which is where he grew up and lived until about five years ago. now he lives in dallas, less than 10 minutes away from me.
: : he’s a financial advisor at a small firm in downtown dallas.
: : he’s 31 years old [almost 32] – 6-1/2 years older than me, an age gap which i surprisingly like a lot. mature men are so underrated. ;)
: : he has the cutest eight-month-old french bulldog named frank who loves water bottles, jewelry, and antler bones. he’s the best little dog.
{here’s frank posing like a model next to some frenchie bookends. he is so precious!}
: : he loves the rangers.
: : he’s a really, really good guy. the kind of guy that you can’t help but like when you meet him.
: : he’s pretty darn handsome.
that’s all.
[at least for now.]
anyway, this boy of mine does really cute things like surprising me at the airport and giving me gorgeous flowers when i got back from europe…
…and putting up a welcome banner and balloons and showering me with gifts and cards…
…he’s pretty much the most thoughtful person ever. and he makes me so happy.
and last night he came over for dinner and met my parents and their new little pup [still nameless!]:
{heart melting.}
cute, right? i think i’ll keep them both. ;) xoxo
