i wasn’t planning on posting again today, but then i happened to stumble upon some pictures from last independence day in milwaukee.  i just had to post them and savor those memories!

{my roommate kerry and i had a whole foods picnic on a grassy hill before watching fireworks over lake michigan.  you can’t see the lake here, but it’s just down the hill and past the trees!  and the weather was lovely of course – much better than texas in july.  we had a grand time.}

…and then there was the food…

{our picnic dinner was as yummy as the whole foods guy who packaged it up for us!  still remember him! ;) my meal consisted of edamame caviar, a carrot parsnip cake, some smoked mozzarella pasta salad, and a cold bottle of leinenkugel’s summer shandy, made right there in wisconsin.  perfection.} 

i live for these happy memories.
