“we’re stilllllll flashing back to seattle?” you ask. yes, yes we are, because i can’t seem to finish this trip off. i’m expecting at least three more seattle posts too, so don’t start thinking this is the last of it. it bugs me a little that i still haven’t posted everything yet, almost a year later, but at the same time, i kinda love it. because there is nothing that makes this little girl happier than looking back on photos and memories from trips past and getting to relive them over and over. but you already knew that…
so. pike place market. oh, i do love a market. like a fat kid loves a big fat piece of cake, i love a good market. [not sure if that phrase is considered PC these days, but i went for it.] big, small, quiet, crowded, touristy, or off the beaten path, no matter. they are all gems in my eyes. i remembered pike place from the last time i went to seattle [i was probably 15 or so] – i loved the colors, the smells, the food and flowers, the yelling of the fishmongers, the people watching, everything. this time was no different. in fact, having developed into the foodie that i am and what with me working in produce and all, i dare say it was even better. it’s such a joy for me to get to walk around and look and see and admire and taste, and my family is right with me on that, so we went to pike place several times on our trip. and the best part was that we took a pike place market food tour [which was fantastic] that allowed us to taste much more than we would have ever been able to from just a few trips to the market. it was all so yummy. plus the pike place market has such a rich history. whoever invented the idea of the food tour was BRILLIANT, y’all. i hope he or she is very very wealthy and is maybe using their ample earnings to travel the world tasting food at all the different food tours that have popped up in every city everywhere. that’s what i would do, if i were them. :)
not a lot more i have to say, as the photos describe everything…
