five whole years ago [and some change], a bit of sweet and color was born. for those of you who don’t have a blog, it may seem silly to celebrate a blog’s birthday – i totally get it. BUT. if you’ve had a blog, or if you’ve been with me through the journey of this one, you understand the significance of it. this little corner of the internet is a time capsule that contains every single month of the past 5 years of my life. is that not crazy to you?! it’s crazy to me. crazy cool. and let me just tell you, a lot happens in 5 years!! if you have kids or even a spouse, you don’t need reminders of this, but for a single woman in her mid-20s, it’s easy to feel like nothing has changed in FOREVER. still single, still living in the same place, same job [or similar one], same friends, same person. but when i look back on old posts from other years, i can see otherwise. i’m proud of who i’ve become, and i’m proud that i’ve done it as a strong single woman. and it turns out, i have done some stuff. ;) i couldn’t be who i am or have gotten through these years without you guys. truly. all of you are a part of me and a part of this blog and i want to thank you for being there, for reading, for supporting.
i have a lot to owe to this little blog. it keeps me sane, it keeps me busy, but most notably, it helps me appreciate just how wonderful life is. because life is wonderful. i hope to never forget that. here’s to 5 more, ABSC! thank you thank you thank you to all my readers, you guys are the best!
p.s. the cake is from tous les jours bakery. the best store-bought cake you will find! i go to the one at the korean grocery store in carrollton.
xoxo
