back in early november, i drove down to houston for my friend angela’s 24th birthday.  for the second year in a row, she had a pedal party, which is basically a giant bar on wheels that is powered by people pedaling.  because there is a “designated driver” who works for the pedal party company and steers/keeps everyone under control, you can drink while you pedal and it is a BLAST.  [for a more detailed description of what a pedal party is and pictures from last year’s pedal party adventure, see this post.]

this year, angela had convinced one of her friends, who happens to have the same birthday as she does, to have a pedal party the same night.  they hang out with many of the same friends, so we knew a bunch of people at the other pedal party, which made it even better.  angela had sweet shirts made for all of us, and the other team did the same.  we followed the same route and stopped at all the bars together, and it was almost like a friendly little race [which our pedal party definitely lost, although we had the most fun!]. ;)

we all had very high expectations after the great success of last year’s pedal party, and round two definitely exceeded those expectations.  i’m telling you, best party ever.  x2.  what really makes it great is 1. angela, because she is so much fun and a wonderful hostess, and 2. angela’s group of friends, who i now consider my friends as well.  they are awesome.  here are some pictures from this year’s pedal party plus the festivities that preceded it:
