challenge #26 is complete! which means that the 3-step condo cleanout project is complete as well. although condo cleanout project 2.0 is already in the works, as i keep finding more areas that could use some work. it’s a constant work-in-progress, this whole keeping up a home thing. and no one told me that even little homes can be lots of work! there are lots of things, in fact, that no one tells you about being an adult. but it’s allllllllllllllll worth it, kids, i can assure you. don’t listen to peter pan. it’s a lot of work, but it sure is fun, too.
this week, i’m going to add in some workouts. i’ve sort of been neglecting everything except my legs, lately [run run running is all i do. and i wish i could even say i was doing more of that]. it’s time that the rest of my body gets some attention too. realistically, my current schedule doesn’t leave time for any major workout additions that require lots of time, but i know that any little bit makes a difference, and my belief about life in general is that if you make small, gradual changes instead of drastic ones, you’re more likely to stick with it and change your lifestyle as a whole. there’s a lot that i can do at home that doesn’t require much time, and that’s what i want to focus on now. here’s my schedule for the week, in addition to my regular running:
monday: reps of various moves that work out biceps and triceps, using my little dumbbells
tuesday: plank… my least favorite
wednesday: abs – i’ll probably do my favorite 8-minute abs workout, plus some additional moves
thursday: jump rope, lunges, agilities
friday: squats and some hamstring exercises
saturday: push-ups
sunday: a variety of booty-toning exercises
wish me luck!
{church-bound with a pout. but not because i’m going to church! because i’m wearing red lipstick, is why. and sometimes when you wear red lipstick, you just need to sneer at yourself with those pouty red lips just to remind yourself who’s boss.} :)
happy almost-monday, y’all.
