i debated on starting this new series today, because after the turn of events of last week, life just doesn’t feel as good as it did a week ago. we’re still mourning the loss of our beloved pup lucky, and i’m hoping to post more on him soon.
but as you know, a whole year of weekly selfie sunday posts ended last week, and i had been looking forward to starting a new series that i had planned. sunday goodness is what i’m calling it, and it will be focused on exactly what the sabbath should be focused on…good things, wonderful things, happy things. appreciating sundays for what they are: rest, relaxation, reflection, gratitude, family and friends, blessings. i might share anything from the happenings of the week to goals to quotes to lists to daydreams… the sky is the limit. there are a lot less rules than there were in the selfie sunday posts; in fact, there are really only two: 1. keep it positive, and 2. post every sunday! i’m leaving it very broad to leave lots of room for creativity, but it will be nice to continue to have a weekly scheduled post – you know, keeping me accountable and all that jazz.
anyway, it’s a rough week to begin the sunday goodness posts and we’re all still doing our best to recover, but at the same time, it’s the perfect week to start them, because not everything in life is going to be easy or fun or pleasant, and there’s no better time than the more difficult seasons to count your blessings and think positively. gotta pick yourself up and keep going, and no one’s going to do that for you. when i stop and think about it, there’s so much good in my life right now, but it can be too easy to let a black cloud shadow all that good stuff. and i’m not going to let it!
this isn’t the introduction that i had in mind for the sunday goodness posts, but right now, it’s what i’ve got. and following this post, i’ll jump straight into this week’s post, so i’m sure you’ll catch on soon enough! and so the sunday goodness posts begin… xoxo
