so my friend brittni whom i’ve known for 22 years got married this past weekend! [she was the one whom we hosted the wine-themed bridal shower for in may. also. how are we that old?!] the wedding was beautiful and sooooo much fun because i knew so many people there. brittni was an absolutely gorgeous bride. and we love the groom too! he’s a good aggie, which of course gives him tons of bonus points :) but also a just an all-around great guy. i’ll post some photos from the wedding soon!
but right now, i wanna post somes photos from her bachelorette party in san antonio/fredericksburg back in june! she had such a great group of girls there and we seriously had the best time. it was extra fun for me because i knew many of the girls from years ago so it was fun to reconnect with them, and i’d heard about the others and it was great to finally meet them in person. a few of the girls had arrived in san antonio with brittni on thursday, but most of us got in friday night. we went out to a piano bar that night and danced the night away, then spent saturday wine-tasting in fredericksburg before mustering up whatever energy we had left to go for dinner and drinks on the san antonio riverwalk. here are some photos from the weekend:
{san antonio is a pretty long drive for me, but it was well worth the trip!}
{downtown san an}
{just wanted to post a quick pic of the bride-to-be and maid of honor that i stole off one of their facebooks…i thought it was so cute and i’ve known both brittni and brittany for many years. love these girls to death!}
{with the bride-to-be and another dear old friend, amanda. i’ve really loved getting to catch up with this sweet girl over the past few months of wedding events for britt!}
{brittni went all out and got all the bachelorette attendees gift bags with monogrammed insulated tumblers, koozies, “first aid” hangover kits, fun hair ties, snacks, and water. the best part were those adorable wine charms with each girl’s name on it that attached to their bag, as shown in the picture on the left. so clever and cute! and then on the right, it was really sweet because brittni invited her mom and future mother-in-law to come on the wine-tasting portion of the trip. they had rented a 15-person-van and chauffeur to take us around to the different wineries, and on the hour-and-fifteen-minute drive from downtown san antonio to fredericksburg, we listened to music and had champagne/mimosas + chocolate croissants and raspberry croissants HOMEMADE by brittni’s future mother-in-law who went to culinary school in paris. i mean, how fun is that?! [the croissants were delicious by the way.]}
{at the first place we went, texas hills vineyard, i think everyone was still slightly hungover, but it was funny how the hangovers magically disappeared after the first tasting!} ;)
{group photo! we took at least one at every winery.}
{and at texas hills, we actually took two because the vineyards made for such a pretty backdrop.}
{the next winery we went to was lewis wines. they have an amazing outdoor space, so we ate lunch out on that table and weren’t sad about it. ;) [this was before the rest of the girls sat down, ha.] i absolutely LOVED the wines at lewis wines and need to remember this winery the next time i’m in fredericksburg, for both their wines and the atmosphere.}
{a big thank you to brittni for inviting me to her bachelorette party and for including me in her wedding festivities! it was all so much fun from start to finish!}
{it turned out to be the PERFECT day for a wine tour too, weather-wise.}
{group photo at lewis!}
{next we went to fat ass ranch & winery!!!!! so funny. of course we just had to take this photo…}
{it was a rustic, country sort of place. quite honestly, i wasn’t a big fan of their wines, but it’s a must-go type place because of the name and the fun atmosphere. we drank frozen sangria outside and danced to some live music!}
{nothin’ like a little sangria to break up all the wine we were drinking!!}
{also, they gave brittni a suicide wine shot made of all the leftover wines mixed together!!!}
{oh, just me and my fat A in front of the fat A winery sign…} :D
{another group photo at fatass winery which also includes our faces} ;)
{and the last winery we went to was pederales cellars. they too had great wines and a great patio. i mean, just look at that view.}
{and thanks to this, i now want to move to the hill country, ugh. the weather and views on this day were too much.}
{brittni and her mom got us couple more bottles of our favorite wine from pedernales so we could all sit on the patio and celebrate after our last tasting. it was a lovely way to conclude the tour.}
{and naturally, some great photos were taken at this point…}
{group photo at pedernales!}
{not the best photos, but these are from our riverwalk adventures on the second night. didn’t take too many photos this night – i was probably too tired!!}
{i had such a blast with these ladies celebrating brittni!}
thank you for inviting me brittni! these were some great, great times. xoxo
