another PMA conference in monterey has come and gone! [more on this conference here.] as always, it was loads of fun, and i enjoyed seeing all my produce friends and spending time with colista and morgan. here were some of our whereabouts:
{lunch on the patio at our hotel when we got in}
{this quinoa salad was sooooo good.}
{my rustic little home sweet home for the weekend. the hotel was a bit further out than where we had stayed in the past, and the rooms were spread out into different buildings surrounded by trees, so morgan kept calling it “the boy scout camp.”} ;)
{one of our produce management groups hosted a networking happy hour at the monterey bay aquarium, which was a fun venue.}
{the sea was almost invisible in that fog!}
{harbor views}
{what morning in monterey looks like}
{just some boats floating in midair!}
{our favorite pancake place, loulou’s griddle in the middle, is right on the wharf! we had to go here twice because we love it so much!}
{those pancakes are HUGE! aaaaand after breakfast, we went shopping in carmel.}
{among the art galleries}
{a little shopping never hurt anyone!}
{those flowers though!!!}
{fairytale cottages and turkish lamps}
{we loved our lunch at a little european bistro called la bicyclette in carmel.}
{i was coveting colista’s watermelon salad – it was so beautifully plated. but then again, i had pizza, so…}
{one of the highlights of the trip was getting to spend a day at the spa at pebble beach. it was golfing or this… i think we made the right choice.} ;)
{we went in the steam room, relaxed in the hot tub, had a healthy [and delicious] lunch on the patio, got massages, laid around in our robes, and took [a few] catnaps in the conservatory next to a crackling fire with the cool sea breeze floating in. even the shower i took there was luxurious! so yes, this was heaven.}
{monterey bay}
{it’s so serene.}
{fisherman’s wharf! and the best part about going to the actual produce show [the expo] is getting to try samples of different dishes and beverages featuring produce. that photo on the bottom right is a little cantaloupe margarita.}
{drinks by the fire before dinner at our favorite place, roy’s at pebble beach.}
{the bagpiper!}
{such a fun evening! also, check out that rainbow roll!!}
{we didn’t see justin timberlake this time but it was still fun.} ;) ;)
this trips makes the produce shenanigans that we have to deal with regularly alllllllll worth it. what a great time! thanks to all our vendors for their partnerships!
