at the beginning of may, i went home to see my family + celebrate mimi’s birthday + see my friend kristen marry the love of her life, reese. i’ll post on the first two events later on, but today, i wanted to share a few photos from kristen’s wedding because it was BEAUTIFUL. the most amazing part is that kristen did all of this herself [with the help of family and friends] and she put it all together in less than 5 months. she should make this whole wedding planning thing a career, if you ask me!
anyway, the photos below are not all the best quality, but i was so inspired by all the decor, the details, and the planning that went into this wedding that i wanted to share them.
{they had an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception at flying V ranch in the texas countryside.}
{waiting for the ceremony to begin}
{the three precious flower girls!}
{here comes the beautiful bride!}
{isn’t she gorgeous??}
{cue the tears!}
{mr. and mrs. robinson!}
{such pretty country for a wedding}
{they served wine, beer, and “his” and “hers” cocktails.}
{the wedding was catered by one of my favorite restaurants, bolsa. [i’m going to try to take a little credit for the amazing food at at the wedding since i was the one who actually introduced kristen to this place! haha.] ;) ;) for the cocktail hour before the reception, there was an amazing charcuterie and cheese spread, which is definitely one of bolsa’s specialties. i wish i had gotten a photo before people had gotten into it, but it was a feast for the eyes!}
{all of the decor was so lovely and so special.}
{this.}
{the table decor}
{…and the wedding party table.}
{the greenery was gorgeous.}
{i just loved the mismatched china.}
{the coffee station}
{this was a neat idea – photos of “our beloved grandparents,” honoring their marriages.}
{the dessert table! i’m obsessed.}
{a close up… i’m a sucker for fruit tarts.}
{waiting on the bride and groom}
{the bride and groom’s entrance and their first dance.}
{the best wedding food ever! frisée and arugula salad with pickled peaches & feta, heirloom tomato and fresh mozzarella salad with balsamic reduction, pistachio-crusted salmon, hanger steak with herbed chimichurri, whipped yukon gold potatoes, garlic broccolini with oven blistered tomatoes. YUM!}
{the groom’s cake… of course i love this one!}
{this lovely cake was tasty AND clean!}
{another view of the reception}
{a little sitting area at the venue. you can’t tell but a bunch of these pillows were cute and glitzy!}
{flying V ranch}
{that sun!}
{my wedding date for the night! jamie wasn’t able to make it and becca was invited to the wedding… it worked out well because we had tons to catch up on!}
{dusk}
{a few more because wow.}
{another fun thing about weddings is running into old friends! i hadn’t seen alyssa for years – we had gone to the same church as kristen growing up.}
{father of the bride’s speech}
{maid [matron?] of honor’s speech}
{we had so much fun celebrating this beautiful bride! here’s to you, mrs. robinson!} ;)
{dance floor pic}
{sparkler sendoff!}
{waiting for the bride and groom.}
