back in april, i was a lucky girl to get to have mike visit me one weekend and linda and noel visit me another weekend.  having friends and family in town has been a great way for me to get to know denver better because we do some of the touristy stuff as well as try new restaurants, bars, etc.  linda and noel are two of my favorite people [remember when we all went to NYC together and they got engaged in central park??  fun times!], and i was thrilled that they could come check out my new home.  i realized that i was used to seeing linda every work day for almost 4 straight years, and i’ve reallyyyyyy missed her.  and noel had never been to colorado, so we were pumped to get him out to the mountains.  we had such a great time with them!

{we went up to idaho springs, walked around the town, and had a beer at westbound & down brewing company.  of course we had to get some photos by the steam engine for my dad.  also, jamie and i accidentally wore very similar outfits on this day… i don’t know what it is with me, but this seems to happen to me with just about anyone that i spend a decent amount of time with!  my mom and grandmothers, coworkers, and now even my boyfriend, haha.}

{dinner at acorn!  we ordered a bunch of different things, but this is the hen of the woods mushrooms:  tempura batter, dashi wanna cotta, ponzu, wakame, sesame.}

{the following morning, we started with an early breakfast at denver biscuit company.}

{and we shared a biscuit cinnamon roll with bacon!  this was sinful.}

{we took linda and noel to see the continental divide.  it was very snowy and very beautiful.}

{then we started heading to breckenridge… we got out to take pictures several times on the way because the views were amazing.}
