nothing makes me happier than having my brother bear visit me in the good ol’ CO!  seriously, i miss living close to mike so much.  i really do have the best brother, y’all.  i was happy that he and jamie got to spend some time together getting to know each other too, and we had a glorious little weekend.  most of it was spent hiking, eating, and drinking beer – three things we love to do. ;)

{later we went to first draft, where you help yourself to your own beers on tap!  it’s a pretty cool concept and of course my brother loved it.}

{on sunday:  church and brunch at jelly.  we had donuts and mimosas while we waited!}

{jelly has all these vintage cereal boxes in cases on the wall, and i saw these and had to take a picture.  if you know my parents, you know that this is them!!  winnie the pooh is my mom’s “spirit animal” – she’s loved him ever since she was a kid – and my dad has been known as cap’n crunch [well, really kaptain krunch] to us ever since he made captain.  it was so funny that they were side by side on the wall!}

{jamie and i had been wanting to try williams & graham, this old-fashioned speakeasy that was voted best american cocktail bar in 2015, since i moved to colorado, but it’s hard to get into.  luckily, we had no issues getting in when my brother was here, so we finally got to try it!  it was a pretty cool place.}

{we finished up sunday evening with beers and food at avanti.  we’re pretty good at selecting nice ombre shades of beer to coordinate with each other!} ;)

thank you so much for coming to visit, mike!  it definitely made my month!
