first off, i want to start this post with this hilarious photo that i received at christmas from jamie’s sister:
{apparently he got this elf onesie at their family white elephant gift exchange!! i died laughing when i saw it.}
and now, some pictures of our little christmas together! [we celebrated when he came in town for new years]. besides the fact that i was getting over a cold [that i then passed on to jamie DESPITE the fact that i refused to kiss him until late in the day on NYE, a day and a half after he arrived in dallas… and poor guy got the cold anyway. definitely a lose-lose situation, ha], this was a wonderful night. we made pizza together, opened presents, and then i made homemade hot chocolate that we topped with whipped cream and garnished with the cutest tiny gingerbread houses that i’d bought from anthro after christmas the year before and had frozen. it sounds totally cheesy, but this was basically a dream of mine a year ago when i bought them, to be sipping hot chocolate with those little gingerbread houses with a cute boyfriend at christmas the next year, and i can’t believe it really came true! [don’t give up single friends – i had a long wait over the years but it was worth it!!] it was also special because this was the first night of the last weekend visit we had before i moved to denver. i knew i was moving at this point, so there was a lot of excitement and anticipation for what was to come. so yes, it was a dream of a night that i always want to remember.
{this handsome guy has my heart. making pizza together was so much fun!}
{one thing i’ve learned about jamie over the last month or two is that he loves making shapes and letters and smiley faces with his food!! totally cracks me up. he wanted to make a 2017 pizza, so i obliged!} ;)
{the finished product! also, this is a sidenote, but jamie loves hawaiian pizza. for some reason i laugh at this, because i know you can find hawaiian pizza on most pizza menus, but i’ve never known anyone who actually orders it. and then when i told my mom this, she told me that it’s a midwest thing, and that she remembers alllllll the guys in college loving hawaiian pizza. which totally explains my south dakota boy loving it. it all makes sense now!!}
{a moment from my dreams, i’m tellin’ ya!}
{had to.}
{we exchanged gifts after dinner.}
{jamie got me this really cute hiking backpack with a hydration pack, among other things. it has really come in handy now that i live in colorado!}
{our first christmas together. loved every moment of it.}
and that finishes out my christmas pics, thank goodness. next up, new years!
